So at the Starfighter gig with the Groove Diggers (lead singer Jose Mitchell, pictured left), we finally took to the floor, a little tentatively, but at the end of it, we were both upright! There's still a way to go, but we're looking forward to hitting a variety of dance floors again very soon.
At this time of the year, a plethora of events hit the listings. As with last month, we selected a few we think you'll enjoy:-
New for this year at the Rave, is Bettina Scarlett Presents event, the Miss Rockabilly Rave Beauty Pageant. You can find details on how to enter here https://www.facebook.com/BettinaScarlettPresents?fref=ts
Also near the top of the pile, comes the Atomic Vintage Festival, at Sywell Aerodrome. The flyer is above, which is linked to the main site, where you will get the full idea of the quality of the acts on, and all the other attractions. If you want to know what to expect from either event, and indeed Rock Ridge Rumble, have a look at our Weekenders section of the website for comprehensive reviews and pics. The most comprehensive, if I may indulge by a bit of own-horn-tooting.
Finally in the flyer line up, is Hannah Cruse's Peach Keen Vintage Fair on the 8th March. The first such event that Hannah has staged, and we wish her luck with that. All being well we will nip along and take some piccies as well as uploading a review. Check back for that in the next few weeks.
We saw Rusti Steel and the Star Tones on the night we visited, and they would grace any stage. Good atmosphere and some top tunes as well. Check out their events page at https://www.facebook.com/rockabillyblitz.club?fref=ts.
As for our site, since the last blog, we have uploaded more galleries on the 'Our Galleries' page, lots of new CD reviews, on the unsurprisingly titled CD reviews page, plus new Bettajive reviews, on a similarly named page, and bits and bats all over. Keep checking back readers, we try to update every week to keep us looking fresh and interesting.
Want to get in touch? Well there are a variety ways you can including the contact form on this site. Look forward to hearing from you. I think I can safely say in the next few weeks, See you on the Dancefloor!
