New for this month also, is a selection of past Bettajive Reviews. And as the opening blurbs are popular among readers, we have a selection toward the bottom of the page. The band and gig reviews are date sensitive, and we're tending to remove them as we go.
You can read all about them here http://www.thebettajivereview.com/past-bettajive-reviews.html.
One such review will appear soon, that of the recent gig at the Starfighter Club in Wreningham, Norfolk, where RJ (from Holland) hit the high spots with his band, the Moonlight Gamblers. 'Hollywood Hop' is a tip top self penned tune you really should hear peeps. Some top rockin was had that night readers, and another testament to Roland Purdy's commitment to bringing not only the best of British, but the cream of Europe's Rock n Roll and Rockabilly acts onto the Starfighter stage. Indeed the end of this month (September) sees the fabulous Barnstompers visit East Anglia, and Kent.
Friday 25th, they hit Pete Bruce's Rosecroft club in Orpington, followed by the Starfighter on Saturday the 26th. Click on the link below
The stripped down sound of just a lead and acoustic guitar, with double bass accompaniment, is perfect for a club like the Pyramid. Who knows, after ten years, they might make another CD........
It's a good night out in Hertfordshire people, and their next gig with John Lewis and his Trio is another red letter gig for us. Click on the link above, which is a flyer designed by Andy Brittan of ABCreative. Check him and his range of graphic designs, out at the links section of the site.
And then there's the Rhythm Riot, June's favourite weekender of the year. Another great line up for one of the premier weekenders in the year, a big circle is on our calendar for this one.
Congratulations to Scotty and Eva Baker, and Tom and Sally McNeil on their recent weddings, have many many happy years together :D
