As you read this blog, which is rather later than normal in the month, we will have already attended the fourth Rock Ridge Rumble event.
A massive marquee in a field near Stanley in the North East, plays host to the Rock Ridge Round Up on the last weekend in July, and the Rumble, a Rock n Roll weekender, the first in August.
Attendees from all over the country took advantage of some, mercifully for once, fine weather, if rather windy, and some top acts including Johnny Flame and the Dragons, pictured above. A full review of this event will appear in the Weekender section of our website, with pics, in a few days, so do keep checking back
One of which will be this one, pictured right, which arrived from Brazil recently. Super sound, which we'll enlarge upon in the next few days in the Vinyl Reviews section
Bettina Scarlett presents the latest of her Mid Century Markets. Above is the London event, but click on the flyer to go to her website and get details of the event in Bristol too. Great artwork by graphic designer Andy Brittan, who is also responsible for our logo. Check him out here at http://abcreatv.weebly.com/
And then near the end of September, check out Mike and Rachel's Saturday Night Fish Fry event in Lincolnshire, with it's stellar line up of bands which should suit everyone's tastes
I read in a post by the Rhythm Riot gang, that a massive 105 person booking came in, swallowing up a fair amount of the bigger chalets. So don't delay, get your booking in pronto for this great line up.
Serious for a mo. We do this stuff for your enjoyment and to promote good music of the 40's and 50's style. We do have a donate button if you'd like to help us keep this site free. Check out the home page
If you want to use any of our material, please ask. We've noticed a number of flyers using our photographs, which we would only be too happy to share with them. Is it too much to drop us a line and mention you'd like to use one?
You can drop us an email if you'd like to work with us too. This website has thousands of hits per week, and numbers are increasing with each passing month
Cheers til next time
